Unreal

[keywords: ]

That's the word I used about 100 times today... if not more.

Unreal.

I had an early start this morning, and my first thought was on my newly adopted LSU Tigers spot in the BCS rankings. After the freaky Saturday I knew anything was possible and that the Tigers may well be playing for a national championship this year.

That was the first time I used it. They slid up to #2 in the standings and have secured a spot to play Ohio State for the National Championship this year. What college team gets three shots at being the best team in college ball?

The most recent time, of course, was tonight watching my Patriots play a game that had me pacing in front of the television like some freak of nature, much to the amusement of Rachel. It was an insane game that pretty much went down to the VERY end with Baltimore giving us all we could handle. The final play being a hail mary pass by Baltimore for the win that came so close to hitting the end zone I almost had to check my pants.

Unreal right? The Pats are 12-0 now, and the damn undefeated talk will continue for another week.

The interesting thing about todays unreal rampage? I went ahead and picked it up at Best Buy... Unreal Tournament 3 that is. The game looks absolutely fantastic, and is every bit the crazy twitch fest I remember, this time with beautiful cut scenes for the campaign.

What a day!

Rachel says I always find something positive in bad things so I guess...

Maybe Brian Urlacher will rip off Payton Mannings head during the Super Bowl.

Patriots and Saints?

[keywords: ]

Yesterday brought me one step closer to my dream matchup for the Superbowl! With New England taking San Diego 24-21 (Go Pats!) and New Orleans beating Philly the day before, that leaves one more game for each of my hometown (new and old) teams to get to the big dance!

The road won't exactly be easy though, with the Patriots having to beat the Colts and the Saints having to make their way past the really tough Chicago Bears.

There is hope though!

I happened to be in Indy yesterday when Rachel and I decided to make a quick stop at the RCA Dome (the Colts home field and where the game will be played next week) to make a personal message of hope for the Pats.

I've never been good at inspirational messages.

My team goes home...

Haters rejoice! With a 27-13 pounding of the New England Patriots, the Denver Broncos ended their 10 game playoff win streak and hope for taking a third consecutive bowl trophy home.

Denver's drilling of New England seemed to start after a questionable pass interference call led to their first touchdown. Factor in a very un-Patriot like 4 turnovers and the game was a practical giveaway. Denver moves on to face the winner of tomorrows Pitt-Indy match up next Sunday.

I'm a wee bit depressed now. Going to have a nice cry. :P

Rose Bowl / NFL Draft

[keywords: ]

So after the Rose Bowl last night, which was a fantastic game that reminded me how exciting college football can be, some people are asking the question "If Young declares for the draft next year do you think he will go at #1". Here's your answer.

Not. A. Chance.

The Texans have the first pick next year. They are set on David Carr being the future. They will take Bush or trade down. More than likely Young will take another year in UT to get the Heisman he was so upset about not taking home this year.

If I guess I say the first QB to go will be taken by New Orleans. They have sucked ungodly ass for years because Aaron Brooks is about as consistant as the weather in Scotland. If Young declares eligible there may be some doubt here (though I doubt it) but if not expect to see Leinart in black and gold and wondering what city his team plays for next year. New Orleans has a nasty PR problem both with the confusion surrounding their home and their owner being a complete nutjob, a heisman trophy winner that will remind people of the current golden boy of football (Tom Brady) is exactly what The Saints need.

Ripped... I guess

In the past I've had layouts ripped, I can't even begin to tell you how many times TalkLoud has been copied... I've had php scripts I wrote ripped and called other peoples work, and now it seems I have moved into another dimension. The Avatar ripping dimension. This is funny because there is nothing particularly great about mine. I'm obviously not a graphic person so making your own would take all of 15 seconds.

It appears another site has ripped a number of my avatar sets, including the NFL, NBA, and the ever popular Sin City avatars. Theirs are here, here, and here.

Am I saying this because I mind? Of course not, I put them up to share with the world. I'm mostly saying it because I was hoping that some of you retards that continue to hotlink from my server even though it's not really looking too cool on your end can maybe move over to their site since they seem not to mind it!

You Go Now! Been here for hour! No more food fat boy!
