I woke up to a great message today in my inbox, from my contact form here on the site.

I couldn't help but wonder what he knew. I mean, I thought I kept that side of my life pretty well under wraps. (Sorry Rachel) So I looked into the stats and logs and things became a little clearer.

My reply follows:

Thank you for your valuable and constructive comment. It brought a little smile to my day just to know there are people like you out there looking in on my site from time to time.

Delving further into your visit to my little corner of the web, I see that you came from Google images and went directly to my MLB avatars page. I'm going to guess from here that you just picked up the Angels avatar and threw it into whatever forum you wanted to look cool on, Ignoring the large bold red text and illustrations of what would happen should you hotlink from my site.

Imagining the look on your face when your fellow forum-goers pointed out that your avatar didn't contain the logo for your favorite team, but a rather personal message about your sexual orientation, brings me yet another smile. I'm starting to like you now. It's not often people make me smile so much.

I'm going to bring this reply to a close now and thank you once again for the good times.

PS - Sorry about LA getting their ass handed to them tonight. What was the score? 11 - 3? Yowzers eh?

Ripped... I guess

In the past I've had layouts ripped, I can't even begin to tell you how many times TalkLoud has been copied... I've had php scripts I wrote ripped and called other peoples work, and now it seems I have moved into another dimension. The Avatar ripping dimension. This is funny because there is nothing particularly great about mine. I'm obviously not a graphic person so making your own would take all of 15 seconds.

It appears another site has ripped a number of my avatar sets, including the NFL, NBA, and the ever popular Sin City avatars. Theirs are here, here, and here.

Am I saying this because I mind? Of course not, I put them up to share with the world. I'm mostly saying it because I was hoping that some of you retards that continue to hotlink from my server even though it's not really looking too cool on your end can maybe move over to their site since they seem not to mind it!

Site Stuff

So just a few notes about the site, cuz I'm bored.

Thanks to cheap imported slave labor via my best friend I have my mp3 database sorted with fully album art for almost every album. The entries should be all correct to. This leads me to the problem of actually playing them in winamp, which is not making me a happy camper since it gobbles up my memory like crazy and frequently runs at 95+ CPU.

Also of note are that I have put up some new avatar sets. Added A Scanner Darkly, NBA, MLB, and X-Babies Avatars! That's what I get for being bored.

Some other misc. stuff in the changelog.
