1 simple reason PS3 won't be on my shelf.
1. $600 Price Tag
$600 for a system. A games sold seperately, single rip off controller having, year and some late system that I wasn't that excited about anyway? Nintendo might have gotten the break they needed.
I really like the way they are going with their new systems. The games as always are innovative, we'll see how the new controller stuff pans out, I'm looking forward to making room for it!

XboX is lame, PS3 is way too expensive and gay. Nintendo might be interesting with that crrrrrazy controller. But actually im fed up with gaming anyways.
I’m actually sympathizing with you here. As much of a champion as I was about the PS2’s amount of games over the XBox’s purty graphics, I have definitely been swayed due to the tons of fabulous RPGs (KOTOR and Jade Empire, I’m looking at you) and FPSs (Half-Life 2, Chronicles of Riddick) on XBox. I still play the PS2 like it’s going out of style, but that’s mostly for 3rd-person shooters, the Metal Gear series, and Katamari Damacy.
Plus you have to take out a freaking loan to buy a PS3. Lame. By that time the 360 will have dropped in price, the Wii will be rocking faces off, and Sony will have to do some serious whoring and damage control to fix their own little insanely expensive predicament.
