Movie Day: April 28th

The movie day DJ and I had scheduled for this friday (April 28th) had us set to watch United 93. It wasn't because I'm particularly interested in it, as I'm not, but for no other reason than there wasn't anything else worth really looking into that comes out that week.

Well, there wasn't. It seems a $60,000 opening weekend on two screens was enough to push Hard Candy into national release. Looks like I'll be seeing it after all! I'm looking forward to this if nothing else simply for the amazing performance I'm told Ellen Page gave.

I really want to see it, too. Should have caught it at the Arclight, but at least a national release will give me a shot at seeing it sooner than I expected. I’m interested in seeing what Ellen Page does with this role, especially after reading a good interview with her and an equally good movie review (both linked below)
