Obie Trice shot... wtf?

The big news in the rap world this weekend was rapper Obie Trice getting shot. 'Obie Trice' and 'shooting' are words I would only expect to hear together if I saw "a new video" or "off at the mouth" directly following it.

I'm seriously hoping that this is just random violence because I can't see there being some sort of rap beef bad enough for a shooting involving someone whose biggest song to date was an ode to having sex with women with venereal diseases. The thought that it could be sales related is somewhat odd as well since he doesn't have an album coming out.

Also of note, he was shot in the head and managed to drive himself to safety. I suppose I won't argue with Amy the next time she tells me Detroit's traffic is a headache.
