The other fuel shortage
With Katrina making a mess of the gulf coast and the resulting shutdown of facilities and property loss there has been a lot of talk of gas prices rising even more. Los Angeles already has reported prices in the 3.00 to 3.15 range. So anything higher is quite insane.
Crude oil is not the only shortage being reported from the destruction in New Orleans however. Apparently upwards of 25% of the nations coffee was in storage in the city. I can do without gas, but I don't know what my body will do without it's gas. **cries**

Reports on our local news (Chicago) today reported that our winter natural gas bills may be around $700 a month. First, gasoline. Then, coffee. Now, heat. Fu*k.
Be safe. I am thinking of you and all of the other gulf coast residents.
Oh no! As long as Dunkin Donuts still has coffee we will be good!
Glad to read you’re doing ok! Unleaded prices here just went over $3 this morning… Luckily my bicycle works fine, and I don’t drink coffee. As long as Chai price remain stable…
OMG!!!!!! No coffee??? No way. I think I’d rather do without gas. ![]()
Um, gas prices here in Iowa are all ready $3.05 and it pisses me off, because it hit just as my gauge went under 1/4 a tank.
But oh well.
Gas in MD is ranging from $3.45 to over $4. It is scary.
