Sin City

On Saturday I did something I rarely do anymore... I left my house. I had meant to blog about it earlier but to be honest until this morning I was still in a state of shock. Did you know there are carriages that move WITHOUT HORSES now?!

Seriously though, it was an entertaining night. My friends Bobby and Acie went out to catch dinnah and a movie. Since I haven't had a date in a while I figured why not let these two strappling bucks (I'm giggling really hard right now) take me out? So we went to Godfathers Pizza in Baton Rouge (decent place I might add) and then went to check out Sin City.

Sin City... Was great. Bruce was decent, though really pretty typical Bruce stuff here. All the cast did fairly well (Oh Jessica, do that little dance fo me), hell even Hartnett's emotionless 'I, robot' voice worked. Seeing Elijah Wood looking like a really dementedly happy Harry Potter and eating hookers was worth the price of admission by itself. The real surprise for me was who came away with pwning the show though, Mickey Rourke just was insane. The part played out like it was written for him. After the last few movies he was in I'm really glad to see this one do so well.

Oh, and I want Devon Aoki to cut the cake at my next birthday party.

It’s good to hear that you got your pasty ass out of the house. Jake really enjoyed the movie too. I kept my overly sensitive ass at home.

She’ll be doing more than cutting the cake at your birthday, my fine feathered friend. And yeah, Sin City did rock, despite a few clunky spots. Definitely gonna get the DVD.

Oh! I got to watch this movie then. Mickey Rourke is cool! He made so many shit movies but always with style!
